Sunday Morning
The squares pad the uneven brick sidewalks of my neighborhood
They clutch green bottles of mineral water and I see neat creases ironed into the front of their pants
Inside, I peer out the windows of this giant brick fortress
Again they pass, all tidy hair, sunglasses and American smiles
I stay inside

Enjoying the Weather
It has been a miserable soggy day in Virginia. We got over an inch of rain today and it is still pouring. Shitty weather always makes me homesick for Seattle. Perhaps more nostalgic than homesick. I love the city but have always hated the winters. It is still raining here and will be for a few days.
